An unidentified criminal previously stole the money during a raid on a shop in Hanover Mitte on Friday, November 25, 2022. The perpetrator threatened employees with a gun and demanded that the money be handed over. Then the man fled with the loot. The police are investigating serious extortions and are hoping to get witnesses.
According to the findings of the criminal police in Hanover so far, the perpetrator entered the shop on Luisenstrasse at around 6:35 pm on Friday evening and demanded money from a 22-year-old employee and a 24-year-old colleague at about the same time. He threatened the staff with a gun to confirm his claim. The thief left the store with the loot and fled on foot in an unknown direction. The search, which began immediately in the vicinity of the crime scene, was unsuccessful.
The perpetrator is said to be 25 years old and 1.90m tall. He was of a slender build and spoke High German with a distinctly high pitch. At the time of the crime, the man was wearing a medium blue padded jacket and a light blue hooded jacket. He also wore a gray cap and a black covering for the mouth and nose. In fact, he was carrying a blue plastic bag and a gray gun.
