DrThe 46th edition of the Statistical Manual for the State of Lower Austria again provides figures on the areas of population development, renewable energies and the labor market. This year there is a special chapter on “100 Years of Lower Austria” with interesting information about regional development.

This year, the topics range from business, tourism and culture to figures from education, health, social affairs, and environment fields climate or even population development.The 2022 edition also offers a special review and comparison chapter for the anniversary “100 years of Lower Austria”.
The upward trend in renewable energies
The Statistical Handbook, for example, provides figures and data on the use of renewable energies in Lower Austria. The number of wind turbines has almost doubled to 735 compared to 2011 (376), which has almost tripled the total output of the turbines to 1,759 MW. And the number of PV systems more than doubled compared to 2015 (27,091) with 58,092 systems. In addition, the share of 5,719 electric cars and 10,178 hybrid cars already accounts for more than 35% of all new cars registered.
