Today, September 5, 2022, marks the start of Swiss Digital Days 2022. Over the course of seven weeks, more than 300 events, lectures, workshops and demonstrations on the topic of digitalization will take place across Switzerland – all for free. The program, divided into live and online events, is on Digital Days website Clear.
Kicking off the digital days, Digitalsw Switzerland, in partnership with Swiss Post, has unveiled Switzerland’s largest NFT project to date: residents will take part in one of the world’s largest works of digital art. The project is called swissp[AI]nt and uses artificial intelligence to convert the terms chosen by the participants into images. A touchscreen art generator is used for this, which travels through seven Swiss regions over the course of the seven weeks of digital days and is located in bubbles, visitor centers on digital days.
Eventually, a collage of individual works is created and auctioned in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT) for a good cause. The project will be inaugurated at the opening of the Digital Days by Federal President Ignazio Cassis, who will also create the first artwork.
According to Diana Engechfeller, Deputy General Manager of Digitalsw Switzerland, the Swiss Digital Days “are more regional than ever this year. With our bubbles, we visit a total of 18 different venues and bring digitalization to visitors in an environment familiar to them. And with our three main formats Greentech Startup Battle, Herhack, and NextGen: Future Skills Lab, we’re giving future-oriented projects and ideas the light they deserve.” Favorite
