Schleswig-Holstein – Vicky Lindros (70) was only 13 years old when she launched her career with the song “Messer, Gabel, Schere, Licht”. In 1972 Vicki won the “Grand Prix Eurovision” (“Eurovision Song Contest”) in Edinburgh with her song “Après toi” (German version: “Dann kamst du”) for Luxembourg. Her other hits like “Love Life” and “Theo, We’re Going to Lodz” also contributed to her huge success. Now, however, the musician announces the end of her career.
In an interview with the newspaper “Bild” Vicki says: “I think it’s time to stop.” She also explains why she left: “I turned 70 in the summer. That’s when you start to think about the finite nature of life. At some point it has to come to an end.” But before she says goodbye on stage, she really wants to make it explode again. In the fall of 2023 she will have a big farewell tour through Germany and Austria.
