Luis Dada, president of Casalco, resigns from ANEP

The President of the Construction Industry Association expressed his decision to the President of ANEP through a speech.

Luis Dada, president of the Salvadoran Chamber of the Construction Industry (Casalco), this Wednesday resigned from the position he held on the Executive Committee of the National Association of Special Enterprises (ANEP).

The President of Casalco stated that his decision was “irrevocable”, through a letter he sent to Agustín Martínez, head of the business union which spread on social networks.

Dada resigned from the position he held in the party, after the union specified, through a statement posted on Twitter, its position rejecting President Najib Boukeel’s intention to seek re-election for the presidency in 2024 despite the reality of the constitution. The Republic prohibits it.

Dada concludes in his letter that “Casalco will continue to promote commercial activities in the country and especially our sector and away from political considerations of any kind”.

Comments have been sought from Casalco on Dada’s resignation from the ANEP position, through a public relations executive, but it has been reported that they will not be making statements at this time. The business association must choose an alternative to Dada.
