Alert due to malfunction of vehicles manufactured by BRP

The Federal Bureau of Consumer Protection (Profeco) has launched a rapid alert for Can-Am vehicles manufactured by BRP in Canada.

According to the agency, there are 416 Spyder RT and Spyder F3 units from 2015 to 2019, which have damage, so they demanded a review.

Profeco explained that it has been determined that the front sprocket could be defective and causing premature wear.

“Over time, the car can lose thrust and thus increase the risk of accidents,” he stressed.

Profeco said that BRP will carry out a temporary repair procedure at no cost, since the parts to be repaired are not yet available.

Owners of these types of all-wheel drive vehicles will be called for inspection.
