A Maryland couple thought they won $10,000 in the lottery, but when they checked the ticket, the prize was $1 million.

A Gaithersburg couple recently won the Maryland lottery playing Scratch-Off the million dollar multiplier and became millionaires.

The 51-year-old woman, whose name was not specified by the Maryland lottery, bought her instant ticket with her husband at the 7-Eleven store at 7980 Georgia Avenue.

The couple came home when she started scratching her lottery ticket. The wife thought she won $10,000, but then Realizing he had several numbers with $10,000 prizes, he increased his winnings to a maximum prize of $1 million..
