In preparation for the Christmas shopping season, the management of Plaza Las Américas has announced the opening of new stores and commercial spaces that will add to the existing trade show.
As reported by El Nuevo Día, consumers can now visit Designer Eyes and Loyal Friends, while Arby’s, Michael Kors and Windsor Fashion will join them in the coming weeks. Stores Liage, Vélez, APM Mónaco and Dave & Buster are expected to join the opening streak between November and December, before the Christmas season.
“We continue to expand and enhance our offerings in fashion, gastronomy and entertainment with the opening of these new establishments to the delight of all our visitors. Many of the brands that consumers have requested from us are finally in the Plaza or are planning to open sometime this year,” said Franklin Dominic, General Manager of Plaza Las Américas. “. “With all of these openings, we’ve added more than 58,000 square feet in consumer offerings,” he concluded.
Designer Eyes is a boutique optician, who has a wide range of frames and eyeglasses from luxury designers such as: Cartier, Balmain, Dior, Chrome Hearts, Chanel and Jack Marie Mag, among others. The new store is located on the first floor next to Mango with an area of approximately 1,800 square feet.
For its part, Loyal Friends, is a stroller with specialized dog products such as collars and leashes, the Bestia Collars brand, personal ID and sports team apparel. It is located on the first floor, in the corridor between JCPenney and Macy’s.

Other new stores that have confirmed arrival in Puerto Rico and are expected to open to the public this year are Liage, Vélez, APM Mónaco, and Dave & Buster’s.
Liage is a store of face, skin and hair care products for both men and women, which will be located in the old Magritte building on the second floor, In an area of approximately 800 square feet. Popular Colombian brand Vélez will also open its first store in Puerto Rico, specializing in handcrafted leather, fur products, and fashion pieces. This chain established its first store in 1994 and today has more than 330 stores in 7 countries. The Vélez site will be located in an area of approximately 2,200 square feet on the first level of the shopping center, between Valija and Forever Crystals. It will contain a large selection of wallets, purses, card holders, key rings, bracelets and accessories for men and women.
Heading into Early Bird Friday, APM Monaco will open at the former Godiva location on the first floor at approximately 850 square feet, opposite Macy’s. Founded in 1982, ABM Monaco is a modern jewelry brand associated with the elegance of Monaco and the lifestyle of the South of France.
For the month of December, the much-anticipated Dave & Buster’s opening, which will be located on the third floor of the Central Lobby, is expected. This will be the new entertainment concept in the shopping center that combines video games, a restaurant and a bar to offer a special option for the whole family.
During September, Arby’s Restaurant, in La Terraza, and Michael Kors’ reopening, are expected to open on the first floor of the Central Lobby.
For October it will be Windsor Fashion House, It is a store where the public can reinvent their fashion style, keep up with the latest trends and get the latest fashion tips for every important moment in their lives. The store is located on the second floor across from the North Fountain Staircase, covering approximately 6,300 square feet.
The mall also announced the relocation of La Eschina Famosa and Rome. La Esquina Famosa has been moved to Level One (the former Disney space), next to Toys 4 Fun, and Roma is now 6,000 square feet on Level Two, next to T-Mobile.
