The constant launch of mobile phones means that many devices quickly begin to forget. This may be due to the arrival of new updates or also due to the technological competition between the major brands.
However, there are mobile phones that were considered so symbolic at the time of their release that it is hard to believe that they are already outdated. These are some examples:
Samsung Galaxy S3 mini
Galaxy S3 mini was announced in October 2012 and had a version for the Latin American market with 1.2GHz marvell pxa 986 processor, 1GB RAM, Vivante gc1000 GPU. It was one of the most traded mobile phones of its year thanks to its features and color diversity, as it was available in white, black, blue, gray and red.
Despite this, theThis Galaxy is on the list of devices that will no longer have updates from Samsung this year.
Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus
The Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus were introduced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in 2018. And while they haven’t been in the market for long, the company has decided that it won’t be receiving any more updates or security patches either.
This is one of the ways that devices can become outdated, without updates they start lagging and exposed to viruses or vulnerabilities.
This device was launched in October 2011 and soon began to be marketed all over the world, considering that BlackBerry phones were also booming at that time.
However, many users have started switching to touchscreen phones and also pairing them with iOS thanks to Apple’s fourth generation. This is another device that will not have updates from 2022.
The iPhone 5C was released in September 2013 and was known from the beginning as the cheap iPhone.
It was made of low-cost materials compared to Apple devices at the time. It had a plastic casing, a 4-inch Retina display, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a FaceTime HD front camera, and either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage.
However, it no longer has the necessary updates to remain competitive in the market.
