They found a truck with Dominican immigrants in Chiapas

Authorities found 366 migrants of 16 nationalities on board a cargo truck in southern Mexico, As reported on Thursday.

The National Institute of Migration said the vehicle was carrying migrants from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Yemen, Uzbekistan and South Africa. There were also people from Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Peru, El Salvador and Venezuela.

Of the total number of migrants, 249 are men, 55 women and 62 minors, 25 of whom were traveling alone, the National Institute of Migration reported on Twitter.

Agents found the truck parked on the side of a highway in the southern state of Chiapas, which borders Guatemala.

The migrants were desperate to get out Tapachula, another city near GuatemalaThe authorities made them wait for their visas. Because of this delay, many are trying to walk or hike north.
