La Jornada – AMLO Showcases Former Commissioner Contreras’ Leap to AT&T

Mexico City. During his morning conference, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador today offered to appoint former President of the Federal Institute of Communications (IFT), Gabriel Contreras, as the new general counsel for AT&T telephone company.

The date was announced last week.

Lopez Obrador noted that these issues have been questioned a lot in the past because the creation of organizations like IFT has been used so that large coalitions can put their employees there.

He showed a message on Twitter announcing Contreras’s incorporation into the position.

“It was all a farce, a parody, which is why it bothers them how they set up all these independent organizations for the benefit of the big corporations. They are two different and conflicting national projects.”
