Low-cost airline launches cheap flights between Miami and Peru

Now SKY comes to Miami! We are the first airline low cost in achieving this. Do you dare to go on a mini vacation? “

With this victory song, American discount airline SKY Airline Peru is promoting its first route outside of South America on its social networks, directed, as expected, by Miami International Airport (MIA).

The inaugural flight of this new air service landed in Miami this week, and starting in August 2022, Sky Sky (SKY) will operate on a daily frequency between Lima and Miami, MIA authorities announced Thursday.

The new Lima-Miami route will use the 186-seat Airbus A320 in economy class.

The airline’s website advertises the round-trip cost as $292, including taxes.

SKY Airline Peru is a subsidiary of Chilean airline SKY Airline, which was named Best Low-Cost Airline in South America by SKYTRAX in 2018 and 2019, according to a press release from MIA.

SKY Airline Peru thus joins American Airlines and LATAM Airlines that already cover the Lima-Miami route.

It joins a wide range of US low-cost carriers, including Spirit, Frontier, JetBlue and Southwest, which debuted at MIA with succulent deals like never before.

These discounts include international destinations in Latin America.

The recently opened route represents “a significant milestone in our international expansion plan, and will allow us to fundamentally connect the United States with Peru, Chile and other countries we travel to at completely affordable prices and with the most modern fleet on the continent,” Jose Ignacio Dugnac, CEO of SKY, said in a statement.
