According to the Roche Institute, four Master’s degree scholarships will be offered in Bioinformatics applicable to Personalized Medicine and Health
The Roche Institute Foundation held the fourth edition of its call toData Science Training Aids in Custom Precision Medicine. On this occasion, four scholarships will be offered for a master’s degree in Bioinformatics applicable to Personalized Medicine and Health. This is the address of the National School of Health of the Carlos III Institute of Health (ISCIII).
The master’s program is jointly organized by the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII), the National Center for Cancer Research (CNIO), the Barcelona Supercomputing Center – National Center for Supercomputing (BSC-CNS) and the Spanish Society for Biotechnology (SEBiot). The course is aimed at graduate or graduate students in medicine, computer science and other engineering, biology, biotechnology, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, mathematics, statistics and physics. All of them are interested in bioinformatics applied in the clinic.
The Four scholarships to be awarded will have a value of 80% of the cost of master’s registration. That is 5,600 euros each.
Data Science in Custom Precision Medicine
The Roche Institute, through this call, is committed to training and acquiring skills in biomedical informatics. In this way, she wants to highlight the need to integrate new professional profiles in the field of data science into the health system. “Data science can provide new opportunities to improve health care processes and prevent disease. Specifically, by allowing the analysis of vast amounts of data that will provide key information for decision-making in dealing with many diseases,” explained Consuelo Martin de Dios, Managing Director for the Roche Institute.
