New York scraps gas taxes

From this Wednesday, June 1, through December 31, New York City gasoline will be tax-exempt, in a measure approved by state lawmakers.

The exemption will be 16 cents per gallon. Average cost of petrol in New York 4.93 US dollars per gallon, which is equivalent to 271.88 Dominican pesos.
