The Colombian Sergio Rincon has been appointed as the new president of Bavaria, effective June 1.
This is the company’s third president since SABMiller was sold to AB InBev, the largest brewery on the planet.

Previous presidents were Portuguese Ricardo Moreira and Marcel Regis.
Rincon is a Business Officer and Marketing Specialist from University of Pontificia Bolivariana with over 23 years of experience in commercial, logistics and management positions.
He became president of Bavaria after passing through the Peruvian brewery company Backus, since December 2019. This company belongs to the AB InBev group and has 5 breweries in Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, Motope and Pucallpa; In addition to a brewing plant and a mineral water plant.
In addition, he served as Vice President of Sales for Grupo Modelo (Mexico), as well as chairing Cervecería Nacional in Ecuador and Cervecería Backus in Peru. Previously, he also held the position of Vice President of Sales in Bavaria.

Today, Bavaria is the main beverage company in the country and one of the brands with the longest tradition in Colombia.
In total, it produces and distributes 36 brands of alcoholic beverages and malt made from natural ingredients.
It is part of Ab-InBev, the largest brewing company in the world, from which globally recognized brands stand out: Corona, Budweiser, Beck’s, Michelob Ultra and Stella Artois.
Also within its portfolio are Club Colombia, guila, Poker, Cola & Pola, Poker, Costeña and Stella Artois, among others.
